I’m a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA, FFCP) and Fear Free Certified Professional with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, over five years of experience in dog training, and seven years of professional work with animals. I specialize in positive reinforcement and science-based, humane training methods that build trust, improve behavior, and strengthen the bond between dogs and their people.
My passion for animals has been with me for as long as I can remember, but my path to becoming a professional dog trainer truly began when I started working in animal welfare. There, I witnessed firsthand how behavior challenges—often rooted in fear, confusion, or miscommunication—can strain even the most loving relationships, sometimes leading dogs to lose their homes. That experience lit a fire in me to help bridge the gap between people and their dogs, giving both the tools they need to thrive together.
I share my life with five animals—three wonderful dogs and two cats—so I understand firsthand the joys and challenges that come with a multi-pet household. I gravitate toward working with dogs who have “big feelings,” including those who are sensitive, fearful,or reactive. I believe these dogs often need just a little extra patience and understanding to shine. I also have a special place in my heart for deaf dogs and enjoy helping them—and their people—communicate in new and meaningful ways.
Today, I’m dedicated to helping families keep their dogs in their homes, not just through effective training but by fostering mutual understanding, trust, and compassion. Each training plan I create is customized to the unique needs of the dog and their family. I’m dedicated to ongoing education and staying current with the most humane, effective training practices—because your dog deserves the best, and so do you.
